My first Reiki experience

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful healing practice

As a teenager I suffered extreme pain from endometriosis for many years, at its height 3 weeks out of every 4 was spent in bed. It was debilitating to say the least. I was missing 80% of high school classes, was struggling to keep my jobs and was prescribed copious amounts of heavy pain killers.  During my worst days I was barely aware of my surroundings. On such a day, my mother telephoned a Reiki Master Teacher and arranged for an immediate healing session. 7 Reiki students were also called in to help. I had to be carried into her house and all 8 Healers went straight to work with their hands resting inches above my body. Slowly I was able to speak through the pain and I was guided through powerful visualizations. The intense pain began to abide and finally disappear completely, I went from a tightly curled fetal position to lying comfortably straight. After a couple of hours I sat up pain free and took a look around, I saw I was in her living room with the reiki healers around me and I began to introduce myself and thank them profusely. The reiki master teacher told me she would send me distance healing in the future as well. As I was walked out the front door, her husband told me he was “now a believer” in his wife’s healing abilities. I never suffered such pain again and was inspired to follow in my healer’s footsteps. I began my Reiki training in 2004 and became a Master Teacher myself so that I could give back this precious gift to those in need. I am constantly finding uses to apply Reiki Energy to and witness the healing benefits take place. Not only healing body, mind and spirit but everything from preparing family meals; infusing them with Divine Love, to manifesting protection and the Highest Good in crisis situations.
