Blessings, Talismans, Offerings, and Medicine Gifts
These elements often come into play during sessions & healing work but may also stand alone as powerful changemakers. They may be part of a Soul Restoration session, a circle or gathering that you attend, or integrated into one's ongoing personal practice as a way of soul-filled living.

Blessings and Prayers
The power of the word plays a large part in the Celtic tradition, there is medicine in the story of the journey, in hearing of balance restored, in song, prayer and blessings. A personal Blessing or Prayer often accompanies other work being done, or it may be given on it's own. They may be heard once impacting at a soul level, or for you to repeat in times of need. A blessing or prayer for you, your home, family, event or venture is bestowed by a helping spirit to anchor a healing, or lend protection. There are a number of different types of Celtic blessings and prayers that may be bestowed, all coming directly from Spirit or descended from time honoured sources.
Talismans
A Talisman may be created bringing together specific medicines to facilitate your empowerment and restoration of balance. Specific elements offer their essence combined with careful intention as a tangible remedy for you to carry on your person or place on an altar.
Offerings
You may be asked to make offerings to a helping spirit, element or essence that has played a part in your healing work. Generally these would be offered using Fire, Water, Earth, or Air to carry your prayers & intentions or you may be asked to create a Shrine or Altar to place your offerings on. These are made with gratitude for the help you are receiving, as an honouring, and is a way of demonstrating you are dedicated to your healing process. One cannot be passive, but a reciprocal co-creator bringing the "hidden" changes out into ordinary reality.
If you are attending a workshop, shamanic journey circle or medicine gathering that I am hosting, you will be asked to bring an 'eco friendly offering to the land'. This is a gift from you in gratitude to the land we are gathering on for holding us well during our sacred work. For it's firm support, its grounding, nourishment and for accepting any excess energy we shed.

Medicine Gifts
This video a beautiful example of how the medicine gifts we bring to our Healers, Teachers, Facilitators, and Practitioners supports their work continuing for the community.
The dollars we pay is the energy exchange to keep them and their families alive, housed, recognizing their years of training, skills, and continued education, while compensating for their time - much of which is unseen by their clients, students, or members.
Medicine gifts, such as the sacred Peruvian tobacco used in this clearing, may be the only way to ensure certain ceremony or healing work is done. In many lineages, the facilitator is never to purchase such medicines, it must be grown, harvested, or gifted. Such gifts also honours their lineage, their teachers - both spirit and human, and the medicine ways themselves.
Without this gift of tobacco, this particular clearing and the ceremony to the Airts (directions) before it would not have occurred. It is a blessing to the community to receive such, and a sweetness to me to be entrusted and supported in this work. Many of the flowers I use in my offerings, and the herbs used for our smoke cleansing ceremonies have also been gifted during gatherings or even sent in the mail! <3
Don't think this way is only for the spiritual helpers in your community, gift your chiropractors, doctors, massage therapists, professors, mechanics, even your baristas! What would support them in supporting others? What would honour their time and skill?
