Energetic Brainwave Balancing ~ Brainwave balancing without an EEG or neural technology software.
There are very specific brainwave patterns that correlate with life challenges such as depression, anxiety, high stress, head injuries, obsessive/compulsive behaviour, phobias and various types of emotional trauma - when these neural pathways are naturally rewritten with more balanced activity, most clients experience a reduction of these limitations. Medications for these conditions generally affect the entire brain and are monitored or adjusted based on subjective experience of undesirable symptoms rather than knowledge of your current brain wave patterns.
How does this work?
Drawing on wisdom from my former career as a neurofeedback technologist, and using the same energy points on the scalp used for placing the EEG sensors, I am able to pick up which areas have greater activity in the various brain waves using my fingertips. I will physically be pulled to the side with the most energy - the greater the pull the greater the imbalance. Since I know from my neurofeedback training and experience what balanced brainwave activity should be, I am able to use hands-on energy work to support the brain's return to balance. Instead of using a sensors and a computer to read the electrical l activity I am using my body, and instead of balancing with sound, we are balancing using the electrical energy field inherent in our bodies and the entire natural world. If you can imagine combining muscle testing with neurofeedback tech skills and Reiki-like energy work - that would be Energetic Brainwave Balancing.
I generally include this service in my Shamanic sessions but it can also stand alone as a session by itself.
Clients often mention they can feel energy shifting as it happens and come away feeling more relaxed, alert and grounded.
What are Trauma Imprints?
Trauma - both emotional and physical - can knock brain functioning out of balance.
These imbalances serve us well at the time as a coping mechanism to get you through a crisis, ongoing tough situation or physical injury. The problem is, often these patterns 'stick' long after the traumatic event(s). The brain is concerned about survival, tending to act as if it believes that since a certain pattern saved it during a crisis, then perhaps it should always be kept. This is rarely helpful once the trauma ends. Such patterns create behavioural symptoms that may show up later in life as depression, anger, addictions, or foggy thinking. With the brain being the control center for the entire body, including our Autonomic Nervous System (the necessary Sympathetic 'Fight or Flight' and Parasympathetic 'Rest & Digest' responses needed for survival) a difficult period in our lives can exacerbate the imbalance with unpleasant consequences, in either our behaviours or our physical and spiritual realities.
Alcohol, recreational drug use and some medications also alter our brain wave patterns. In fact most "self medicating" with these substances are in response to brain wave imbalances with a correlation between the particular imbalance and the drug of choice. Unfortunately that method just isn't fine tuned and measured enough to achieve the desirable balanced effect.
